Reflections on Last Week: 3 Hours of Silence
My Experience:
Last week’s challenge was all about embracing silence, and it turned out to be quite an experience. At first, it was difficult to calm my mind and focus. I thought I could just sit and meditate or visualise a few things I had planned, but for some reason, I couldn’t. Instead, I let my thoughts flow naturally, labelling whatever came to mind. There was a moment when I lost track of time, and it felt like I was in a time freeze—a strange but liberating sensation. About 75% into the challenge, my mind finally started to settle, and I could focus on the issues I wanted to address. This brought me a lot of clarity and resolve. And on a lighter note, my feet were sore for some reason, so a 3-hour foot rub turned out to be a nice bonus, haha!
It’s incredible what a little silence can do for the soul.
Sometimes, the answers we’re looking for are already within us; we just need to quiet the noise to hear them.
